UCC’s team for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life is raffling an I-Pad 3. Tickets can be purchased at the UCC bookstore for $1.00 each.

Another blood drive will be done on campus April 25 and 26.  Appointments are available every 15 minutes from 10 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.  Contact Marjan Coester at 440-4600 x7749 or email at marjan.coester@umpqua.edu for an appointment.

The CQ Researcher database is now available off-campus. To access it, go to www.umpqua.edu, select the library link, then the search databases link. Find CQ Researcher and enter a UCC faculty or student ID when prompted. The WorldCat library catalog and interlibrary loan is also working on-campus again.

Elections for student government are coming up. Tuition assistance is available for office holders. Applications, available in the Student Center, are due Friday, April 27 by noon.

The Spring into Success Concert, hosted jointly by the UCC Business and Entrepreneurship Club and the Oregon Small Business Development Center will be held Saturday, May 19. The event plans to have three bands and multiple guest speakers.

“This is going to be the biggest event UCC has ever seen,” Sonia Clausen, the club’s office manager said.

 Local vendors will have a chance to showcase their products at this event by contacting the club or the Oregon Small Business Development Center.

“We are looking for vendors to take part in this event,” said Reese Kerstetter, the Business Club president. Donations will be accepted at the event and will go to support the growth of new and existing small businesses in Douglas County; however the concert is free to all who would like to attend.
